About KAPP
Kearney Area Pagan Pride (KAPP) was founded on July 23, 2013.
The mission of the KAPP is to educate the public about Paganism and other forms of Earth-based spirituality with focus on the diversity of religious expression in our community in an effort to bring about harmony amongst all spiritual paths. The main way the group does this by hosting an annual Pagan Pride Day event in the Kearney Area.
It is the Kearney Area Pagan Pride in that we focus on the three major cities in our area: Kearney, Grand Island, and Hastings.
KAPP is currently facilitated by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers. These volunteers do the majority of the pre-event planning. Multiple other volunteers help gather donations, distribute posters, research rituals, proof-read and design promotional materials, sell advertising, book entertainment, speak to vendors, lead workshops, and all the responsibilities of running the PPD on that day.
