What we do
The main way we achieve our goals and keep in tune with our mission statement is by hosting an annual Pagan Pride Day event. The first ever in Kearney? October 2013. We hold these events for Pagans to network and meet others in their area and to welcome non-Pagans to get a first-hand experience of what we do and who we are.
In the coming years, we plan to expand our PPD beyond the three main activities, to include workshops, entertainment, vendors, a dedicated area for children, and much more. Even though it may take on a bit of a festival-feel, we will still focus on our mission statement and fostering pride in Pagan identity through education, activism, charity and community.
Kearney Area Pagan Pride is more than just this one-day event. It is because of that view that we are planning to be active throughout the year while we are planning for the next PPD. As we grow, we’d like to add more charities to our list of those we support. Our first year is one of getting our name out there and to be associated with good deeds and civic responsibility. By doing this, we will further express our mission statement and our plan to nurture Pagan Pride in our area of Nebraska.
