Q. What's the admission price?
A. Admission is free and is open to the public. We will be collecting donations for our chosen charity and this is recommended in lieu of any admission. If you do not donate, you will still be welcome at the PPD.
Q. What if it is raining/snowing/cold/hot?
A. The KAPPD will go on regardless of the weather. It is an outdoor event so please plan to dress accordingly.
Q. What do I wear?
A. You can wear whatever you please. This is a public, family-friendly event so nudity of any kind is NOT ALLOWED. You are welcome to wear ritual garb or your Pagan finery. You will also feel at home in jeans and a t-shirt. Fairy wings and cloaks are also lovely.
Q. Can my kids/friends/family members/non-Pagan associates attend?
A. Of course! The KAPPD is open to everyone. We gear the event to be appropriate for people of all ages. Intolerance will not be allowed and shall be dealt with accordingly.
Q. How do I find the West Shelter and/or Cottonmill Lake SRA?
A. If you click here you will find the address and a map that will get you to the park. Once you enter the park, follow the hill down to the stop sign. Turn left and the first shelter on your left is the West Shelter. If you miss it and go too far, you will end up at the main gate and can start all over.
Q. What should I bring?
A. If you wish to join in the potluck meal, please bring and item or items to share with those who also elect to participate. You should also bring plates, utensils, and napkins for you and your guests. Be sure to think Eco-friendly. You will also want to bring beverages for all those in your party. Alcohol is NOT PERMITTED at the event or in the park.

There are stone benches and a few picnic tables in the area but you may want to bring your own chairs or blankets to make yourself more comfortable. The area is surrounded by trees but there isn't a lot of shade. Sunscreen and hats or umbrellas are recommended. Insect repellent would also be a good idea.
Because this is Nebraska, you never know what can happen with the weather so plan accordingly.
We strongly suggest you bring your own water bottle or mug. All ritual items will be provided for you.
Q. What am I not allowed to bring?
A. Illegal drugs and alcohol are not permitted. We do ask that you leave all athames, swords, and other ritual blades at home or in your car. Weapons of any type are not allowed.

A. You are responsible for your welfare and the welfare of any children in your care, as well as any personal property in your care. We expect everyone to:

A. Kearney Area Pagan Pride Day is a public, camera-friendly event. Your entry into this event constitutes your implied consent to be photographed and to have the resulting photographs published in print or online. Media will be invited and welcomed to this gathering and we have no control over what they choose to publish or otherwise use. We appreciate your understanding and support of this policy. Q. I'm super nervous to attend. What can I expect?
A. Everyone has their first time coming to a Pagan event where they don't know anyone. Try not to be nervous. You will be greeted by members of the Executive Team and within minutes you will have new friends. We understand nerves, social awkwardness, and other moments of panic. We will do everything within our power to make you feel welcome and help ease you into the event.
You can expect a variety of people. There will be social butterflies and wallflowers. In our experience, everyone feels comfortable in a short amount of time and realizes there are many people there just like them.

- be honest, trustworthy & considerate in dealing with others including KAPPD Staff, Vendors, and attendees both Pagan and non-Pagan alike, and the site and rules of our host Venue.
